If you’re only traveling with one other person, then this Smart vehicle is a great option. It can only hold two people because it’s so compact. It gets 41 miles per gallon on the highway or 33 miles per gallon in the city. It’s very comfortable and quite a unique experience to drive. This is around half the size of a regular compact car, making it easy to drive and park in small spaces.
4. Chevy Volt
This vehicle might not be available at all rental car companies, but if you take the time to find it you will be glad you did. This vehicle gets 93 miles per gallon with the electric motor it has. In order to make sure you don’t have to switch to the 37 miles per gallon engine, you have to plug this car in. A full battery will travel 35-40 miles before it needs to be re-charged, or you can simply run the car off of the gas engine.
5. Toyota Yaris Hybrid
This vehicle can fit up to five people and has five doors. It can get up to 63 miles per gallon, which is great for anyone who wants to see all the sights in any new city. This vehicle is similar to the Prius, but it does have some differences that people say make it more fun to drive. It has a lot of power and can be a great car to rent.
With all the different hybrid cars available, you should be able to find something that fits your needs and budget. There is no reason to spend more on gas when there are cars that are so fuel-efficient. Having one of these can make any trip a lot more enjoyable!
