Howdy green travellers, it’s time for us to introduce a new monthly slot here on DontFlyGo.com where we’ll be posting on the first Monday of every month an overland travel vehicle designed to stoke your world wandering passions.
To kick off this month, we’re featuring the OEX, a “overland truck” designed by Hamid Reza Bekhradi, which is set to come into full force in the travel world in 2020.
Specially designed so that travellers can see more of the destinations they pass over, the OEX features a large porthole space and road-facing seats that offer panoramic views of those gorgeous green travel destinations that can’t otherwise be explored by more traditional means of transportation.
Designed in collaboration with Fiat and the IVECO styling office, the OEX also features an extendable balcony and built-in-binoculars that make travelling overland all the more exciting.
Two versions of the OEX are currently in development. The first version, A, a four wheeler that has the capacity to take 12-15 passengers over short distances, is ideal for city sightseeing or short-term trips in particularly challenging landscapes. The B version, slated to fit up to 20 people, is designed for long-term and long-distance travel and also features camping facilities designed to compliment such trips.
Fitted with flexible solar panels the OEX looks set to be revolutionize the world of overland travel by cutting down the level of fuel consumption and carbon emissions emitted by sight-seeing and long-distance tourist vehicles.
DontFlyGo.com feels this is a very worth first overland travel vehicle of the month!
