Harrison’s Cave is a historical cave named after Thomas Harrison, who lived in the area in the early 1700s. The cave is 2.5 miles long, 50 feet high and is found in the central uplands of the island. The most fascinating features that are found here include unique crystallized limestone, pools of clear water and flowing streams. The entrance to this point is through Boyce Tunnel. The Andromeda Botanical Gardens are another great wonder of Barbados. It is where you find colorful, sprawling gardens of both local and imported flora like superb cycads. Farley Hill National Park consists of several acres of land with tropical trees on a cliff up to 899 feet above sea level. It was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 15 February, 1966. The island overlooks the Scotland district. At the park, you will locate Thomas Graham Briggs’ mansion that was built in 1818. This mansion is very famous because many of Hollywood’s movie makers have shot films around this region. This site is best for activities like retreats and picnics.
