Overland Traveller: Jeremy Albelda, Miami Based Travel Beat

Jeremy Albelda

A true “Renaissance man”, Jeremy Albelda sums up his existence with that tagline pretty well. Head of an internet marketing company that specializes in creating content for websites from small blogs to corporate juggernauts; Jeremy also does SEO, translations and some web development all while travelling the world.

Involved in the promotional marketing industry, on any given day Jeremy can be found dressed up as the Geico Gecko (something he particularly loves) dancing around like a fool, to helping consult or execute large scale events or brand promotions. As a result of this work Jeremy travels all over the USA.

Leader of the travel blog, The World or Bust, working in this way allows Jeremy to maintain an ultra-flexible schedule so he can do what he loves best; travel. Currently based in Miami, Jeremy takes off for a week or two every 5 or 6 weeks. Read More »

How many times do you fly a year?

I confess that I’ve already flown nine times in 2012. This was partly because of work and partly because of my travels over the Chinese New Year holiday. One of the reasons I started DFG was to try and reduce my own carbon footprint. I’ve taken the first step by purchasing a bicycle which I now use on a daily basis. Read More »

How many times do you fly a year?

This is going to shock people and throw a spanner in the works of any image I had of having a “jet set lifestyle”, but in 2011 I flew a grand total of four times. That makes me pretty well-qualified to be spearheading this, my new site, all about overland travel and avoiding pesky airlines and airports as much as possible, me thinks!  Read More »
