Check out the 5 best places to go while visiting Poole

6766928193_ab81edf557_b

Visiting Poole is the perfect choice to have an unforgettable vacation memory. Located in eastern Dorset, Poole is home to the largest natural harbour in Europe, world famous for its beaches, and popular as a historic town. Visitors have a myriad of places to tour in the old historic town. The historic town is majestic with the old Georgian style buildings, brick-built houses, and authentic architectural designs. Poole is simply gorgeous, and so here are the best places to go while visiting.

Poole Museum

To learn the history of Poole, the first place to visit should be the Poole museum nestled in an eighteenth-century building that perfectly depicts the long history of the town. The local History Centre is attached to the museum so you can dig deeper into resources on the history, culture, and people of Poole.

Splashdown Poole

This an all-action water park not for the faint-hearted but with promise of great fun. You can enter the dragon’s lair, tumble through twisting tubes of Mississippi drifter for family fun. Family fun simply awaits you when you jump into this amazing pool with its selection of interactive water play zone for children and adults.

Poole Park

Poole Park was opened in 1890 as a peoples’ park earmarking it as one of the must visit sights in Poole. The Poole Park is designed for family relaxation, for instance, children can feed the ducks and swans on the Swan Lake, after which they can ride the miniature railway winding round the Swan Lake. Children will also find the Ark an interesting playground where they can also try the tube slides or spiral slide. Lovers of nature can just take a stroll round the park enjoying the beautiful environment or sit down to watch a match.

Sandbanks Ferry

Visiting Sandbanks Ferry on your visit to Poole is a must do so you can partake in the ferry journey between Sandbanks and Studland. The ferry operates daily and carries people across the Poole Harbour reducing the travel time between Corfe Castle and Swanage for example. Travelling by Ferry is an opportunity to travel on the second largest natural harbour in the world.

Sandbanks Beach

Sandbanks has been rated for several years as the best beach on South Coast England, not without reasons. You visit the beach in total safety with assurances that you will have an excellent time with your friends and family. For its clean water, fine and golden sand, and life guards on duty, you cannot but visit Sandbanks beach that has held the European Blue Flag for 26 years. At the beach, you can enjoy a varied selection of water sports including kayaking, jet-ski, and parascending.

Summary

Poole is an historic town with so much to offer visitors. The history of the town, quintessential buildings, and tourist attractions are guarantees for fun and a great sightseeing experience. While preparing for a great tourism in Poole, accommodation must be inclusive in your plans to make your stay worthwhile.

Accidents, don’t add to the trauma and make the aftermath easy

452266178_d29a1d5070_b

Being involved in an accident can be a very traumatic experience, an experience that can be made even worse by the other driver involved in the incident insisting the accident was your fault when it wasn’t. This situation can be avoided by installing a camera in your vehicle, which can act as an irrefutable, independent witness in the event of a collision and therefore allow you to drive every day, anywhere with confidence.

As well as proving effective in a collision situation, a vehicle camera and vehicle backup camera brings many other benefits. For example, the cost of your driving insurance can be significantly driven down by the installation of one of these devices as many insurance companies can use the film footage in crash claim situations to prove or disprove culpability. Police forces also actively encourage camera use in cars and they too, often take advantage of footage to prosecute traffic violations. Another advantage is in the battle to combat the rising incidence of ‘Crash for Cash’, as camera footage can easily expose those engaging in an accident scam.

As the choice of cameras available on the market is vast, choosing one can sometimes prove a little difficult. Picture quality is a primary concern, as film footage needs to be of a viable quality to be used in any legal proceedings and some cameras have very crisp quality images that have exceedingly high definition pictures. Cost is another consideration, and usually, the better the image quality the higher the cost of the device. There are, however, a wide range of prices out there to suit every budget, from the relatively cheap models to exceedingly expensive ones and it will be down to an individual’s budget constraints as to which model they choose.

Cost and picture quality are only a few of the elements to think about when deciding on which camera to pick. Another area to contemplate is whether to opt for a camera that uses color film, or one that utilises black and white film. It should be noted, that for evidential purposes black and white images are just as valid and accepted as colored images, however, black and white using models are a lot cheaper to buy. More expensive camera versions can also have features such as GPS, which can accurately pinpoint the location of any incident or a Parking Mode element which means that if the vehicle is struck whilst parked, the camera will instantly record the incident, thereby catching the perpetrator on film and allow the pursuit of a claim.

Fitting the device in your car is an easy, pain free operation and there are several fitting options available such as screen mounted, dashboard mounted or being appended to the rear view mirror. Regardless of where you decide to locate your camera you should make sure it in no way impedes the driver’s view of the road and that the camera is pointed straight ahead to capture as much of the road in front as possible.

Oh Canada! Top Vacation Cities

By any measure, whether it is economic, quality of living, friendliness, or sheer beauty, Canada is a top rated country. Its mixture of high tech and cosmopolitan big cities, charming smaller towns and rural expanses make it an ideal place to plan a short visit or even stay longer.

At the core of its allure are the ten Canadian provinces that make up Canada. The largest of these is Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia. Each has its own reasons why it is special. Here is a look at the largest cities in these provinces and reasons why you should book a flight to Canada.

Toronto, OntarioToronto 5

The number one Canadian province in terms of population and international flair is Ontario and its jewel is its capital city, Toronto. This burgeoning megalopolis is one of the fastest growing cities in the world, with nearly 100 skyscrapers currently being built, and most in the city no older than 25 years. Toronto attracts the top businesses because of its winning blend of beauty, attractions, and and quality of life.

The city features the famous CN Tower which sits near its center, and its Toronto Maple Leafs professional hockey team is a perennial favorite to compete for the NHL’s Stanley Cup. Toronto is also home to one of the world’s top film festivals and is Canada’s home for culture. More museums and galleries reside here than anywhere is Canada.

No matter what cuisine you love, you will be overwhelmed with the selection in Toronto. The city boasts Canada’s top chefs and every cuisine is represented here.

At night, the city comes alive with nightclubs, concerts, and bars lighting up the city and music filling its night air. Partying goes on in the city nearly every night of the week.

Toronto also excels as a green city. There are parks and green spaces throughout for inhabitants to come in direct contact with nature. Surrounding the city are beaches and forests to be accessed in the summer, and mountains to be climbed and utilized for winter sports.

So what can’t you do in Toronto? Not much because Toronto has it all.

Montreal, QuebecMontreal

Perhaps no province it touted as a year round getaway more than Quebec and its capital city Montreal.  The city’s combination of attractions and festivals makes it the perfect destination. And, whether your aim is romance, sightseeing or fun with the family, the city can’t be beat.

Montreal is built on a mountain island, which means that there is water everywhere, and of course water sports rule during the warm summer months. The city also has two official languages, English and French which are mixed in nearly every sentence heard here.

Montreal also has four large universities and with so many college students, it is the youngest city in Canada.

The city prides itself on accommodating visitors in every budget range, so you will find lots of great options for hotels and restaurants here, whether you are a backpacker or a princess.

The main attraction of the city however is its culture. There are more than 90 festivals here every year and the amount of culture based attractions from museums to galleries are only surpassed by Toronto.

Vancouver, British Columbia

Vancouver 3

On the west coast of Canada sits one of the most beautiful and highly regarded cities in the world, Vancouver. This city of nearly two million boasts a plethora of beautiful landmarks including: the North Shore Mountains, Mount Baker in its background, English Bay, and the gorgeous Vancouver Island.

Vancouver city is filled with all of the amenities of a top city; fine restaurants, great museums and galleries, cafes, bistros, and a bustling nightlife. The city also has its own professional hockey team and an abundance of parks.

British Columbia has the mildest weather in Canada so there is no guarantee that there will be constant snow during the winter. However, this is not to say that there isn’t abundant skiing and winter sports. In fact B.C. has Canada’s most visited ski and snowboarding area, Whistler Blackcomb, which has hosted the Winter Olympics.

During the warmer months, Vancouver plays host to fishermen, bikers and hikers who take advantage of its abundant rivers, trails and mountain passages.

The city is also one of the top filming destinations. In fact you probably have seen Vancouver in more films that just about any other city. Vancouver is perhaps the most complete city for visitors in Canada.

No matter which Canadian city you choose to visit, you will have a fantastic time and have wonderful lifelong memories.

Things to Remember When You Plan a Fishing Trip

This year will be the second year that I have organized a fishing trip for my buddies and whilst I know that things went well last year, I have an eye on making sure that this year is even better. In fact, I have already been looking at Miami yacht rentals so that we can head out on to the ocean and snare ourselves some outstanding catches to write home about. I have learned a few things already about planning a fishing trip and whilst it is completely up to you and your friends where you go and what you do, there are some important points which you need to remember.

Picking the Right Spot

When it comes to picking the location for your fishing trip, I would advise that you make this a democratic process and make your decision based on a general consensus. During this time it is important that you not only consider what kind of species it is that you are looking to target, you should also be thinking about the surrounding area, the nightlife, the weather, accommodation and other important factors. If everyone in your group wants to check out a new experience ice fishing, then it might be best to look up different things you might need for that. Green Bay ice fishing trips will be wildly different than the summertime there.

Logistics

It is important to remember that this is not just a vacation and that a simple flight from point A to point B is not all that you have to consider. The reason behind this is that everyone is going to need equipment and whether they take it with them or they rent it out there, you need to bear this in mind when planning the trip. Consider using a guide to help you with all the equipment you might need. Green Bay fishing guides will know exactly what you might need to bring for their water.

Getting on The Water

It’s all well and goo deciding to go to a certain place because there are some exotic fish there but you need to make sure that you are going to go to the perfect spot and that you have the means to do so. Many popular fishing places have guides and charters which will take you out and show you the best spots, as part of your planning process you should already be looking into this side of the trip.

Creating a Challenge

Getting out on the water and shooting for fish is all well and good, but where is the adventure in that? Instead, why not start planning a competition so that you and the group can really ramp up the stakes with a little bit of competitive energy. If you are going to do this, I would advise that you get it planned quite early on so that everyone has time to get the energy flying around.

Informing

If it is you that is organizing the trip, you need to make sure that everyone knows exactly where they are going and when, how much it will cost and what they need to bring. I usually send out a sort of newsletter which gives everyone all of the information that they need and this ensures that I no longer have responsibility over these details.

How to Realize Your Travel Dreams

If you have dreams of one day traveling but you feel as though your life doesn’t lend itself to getting away from it all and starting again in another country, think again because it is most definitely possible. Regardless of what your financial, your family or your own personal situation is, there is always a way to make your dreams happen and especially so when it come stop traveling.

Machu Picchu, Peru

I myself was 28 when I first left home and hit the road after leaving my job and whilst it was most definitely scary, it was the best decision that I have ever made. If this sounds like something that you would like to do, here are your choices.

Working

There is nothing to say that you have to quit your job and go travel the world on a  wing and a prayer and in actual fact, you could quite easily find a job abroad. There are literally million of people abroad right now working in a profession that they love, in a country that is unfamiliar to them. You could do travel nursing, you could be an au pair, you could be an accountant, an engineer or even a teacher in another country, the skills are largely the same. The possibilities are endless in terms of what you could do abroad and if your heart is truly set on it, you will find a way for it to happen.

Volunteering

What better way to see the world than to do so whilst helping out some of the world’s largest major charities. This is exactly what you can find if you decide that you can leave home and join up with one of the numerous international charities in order to help out and travel. There are conservation projects in Central America, poverty projects in India or Africa or you could even help out with animal rights issues in Asia. The world is quite literally your oyster when you decide to volunteer and if you have some good in your heart and a desire to travel, this is the perfect way in which you can do both at the same time.

Studying

If you have ever wanted to expand your knowledge then you can do just that with some studying abroad. There are many schools and universities that accept foreign students and you will be able to learn, explore and live life like a local in a foreign country.

Backpacking

If you are able to save up enough money, there is nothing at all wrong with strapping on your backpack and heading out into the world to explore. Contrary to popular belief, there is no age limit on backpacking and if it is the world that you want to see, the very best way of doing so is by wandering around it with a sense of absolute freedom, which is just what backpacking is all about.
